Frazer Center        Assistive Technology         Our Team              Results     

Goal:

Use technical backgrounds of each team member to help Frazer Center, a daycare center in Atlanta that hosts people with disabilities, to asses their current technology, provide list of recommended assistive technologies and custom design low-cost assistive technologies for the center。

Methodology:

  • Field visit: gather information on current situations in Frazer Center and make observations on the residents' daily life. Visit Tools For Life to learn about designing assistive Technologies.

  • Individual Research: research on assistive technologies appropriate to Frazer Center.

  • Team Meetings: share and discuss findings and research and prototypes.

  • Group prototyping: design and prototype custom made assistive technologies.

Results and Deliverables:

  • Prototypes and customized DIY assistive technologies by the team.
